Genesis Lynea is set to make her debut on the hit BBC drama, Silent Witness.
Playing the role of Simone Tyler, Genesis’s character is an ecologist who used to work in a museum but is now working in the mortuary.
Speaking about the new role, the actress said: “It’s really fulfilling to learn a new way of thinking and seeing through the eyes of Simone – as she learns, I learn.”
Having appeared on shows such as Casualty – where she played Archie Hudson- CBBC’s 4 O’Clock Club and Netflix’s Shadow and Bone, Genesis is not new to the TV industry.
But there are still many things people don’t know about the star.
Although Genesis grew up in Wandsworth, London, she was born in Cooper’s Island, Bermuda.
Attending performing arts and technology school, The BRIT school in Croydon, Genesis was childhood friends with Jessie J who also attended.

After studying Geography for one year at university, the future actress decided to go back to her performing arts roots by studying Musical Theatre at Chiswick’s Arts Educational School. She then graduated in 2013.
Genesis not only acts, but she can also dance and even founded dance group, the Krump Crew.
In 2010, she appeared in childhood friend Jessie J’s music video for her song ‘Do It Like A Dude’.
Also appearing in theatre productions, Genesis has performed in Jesus Christ Superstar, In the Heights, The Bodyguard, Bend It Like Beckham: The Musical and Legally Blonde.
