Synopsis
In the past year alone, the government has increased domestic gas cylinder prices by 40%. This is despite a steep decline in the global natural gas prices by 80% since August 2022. The subsidies have also been limited only to people getting the LPG connection through the government’s Ujjwala Yojana.
