How can I submit the documents online?
Step 1: Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/, and log in using your Aadhaar number and one-time password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number.
Step 2: Check your identity and address details displayed in your profile.
Step 3: If the details displayed in your profile are incorrect, take action as described in response to Question 5 below.
Step 4: If the details displayed in your profile are correct, please click on the tab ‘I verify that the above details are correct’.
Step 5: Select the identity document from the drop-down menu that you wish to submit.
Step 6: Upload your identity document (size less than 2 MB; file format JPEG, PNG or PDF)
Step 7: Select the address document from the drop-down menu that you wish to submit.
Step 8: Upload your address document (size less than 2 MB; file format JPEG, PNG or PDF).
Step 9: Submit your consent.

How to track update request
When you submit an online address change request successfully, you will be assigned a URN (change Request Number) in the pattern 0000/00XXX/XXXXX. This is displayed on the screen and sent to your registered phone number through SMS. Use this URN and your Aadhaar number to check the status of your Aadhaar update at https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/checkSSUPStatus/checkupdatestatus.
Who should update demographic details
According to the UIDAI website, “Changes in life events such as marriage may lead to residents changing their basic demographic details such as name and address. Address and mobile number could also change due to migration to newer locations. Residents may also want changes in their relative’s details due to changes in life events such marriage, death of a relative etc. In addition, residents could have other personal reasons to change their mobile number, email address etc.”
