Israel PM tests Covid +ve, India visit on April 3 now doubtful | India News

NEW DELHI: Israeli PM Naftali Bennett‘s visit to India hangs in the balance as he has tested positive for Covid-19. Bennett is scheduled to travel to India on April 3. However, there is no official word on whether or not the visit will be affected.
“The PM is feeling well and will continue to work from home,” a statement from his office said. There was speculation that he will have to test negative by Friday to be able to travel to India.
According to media reports from Jerusalem, Bennett attended a meeting in Hadera, the site of the terror attack in which two Israeli border policemen were killed and few others injured on Sunday, but was seen wearing a mask in the officially-released photo. Earlier on Sunday, Bennett held a meeting with US secretary of state Antony Blinken and was unmasked, Times of Israel newspaper reported.
