NT records nine new Covid-19 cases as remote cluster worsens

The Northern Territory has recorded another nine cases of Covid-19 as health authorities scramble to get the latest outbreak under control.

Residents in the remote regions of Katherine and Robinson River were sent into a snap, 72-hour lockdown on Monday night after two people tested positive.

The lockdown will be extended after the latest cases were recorded.

The latest figures take the total number of active cases to 11, as the NT Government tries to stop the virus from spreading into remote indigenous communities.
