President Kamala Harris? The embattled vice president with only a 28% approval rating is now ‘squarely an issue’ in the 2024 race after blundering Biden’s stumbles and gaffes trigger 25th Amendment chatter

Americans are weighing a future led by President Kamala Harris, after President Joe Biden made series of public speaking errors, triggering growing chatter about invoking the 25th Amendment.

The president alarmed Democrats and Republicans alike after a messy press conference on Thursday, in which he insisted that ‘my memory is fine’ even while mistakenly referring to the President of Egypt as the president of Mexico.

‘I think Vice President Harris became squarely an issue in this election today. She already was getting there, and now it’s even more important,’ CNN commentator Scott Pressler said on the air Thursday evening.

The 25th Amendment, which outlines presidential succession, gives the vice president and Cabinet power to remove the commander in chief from office via a majority vote in the event it’s determined he or she is no longer fit for office.

It has never been invoked in U.S. history.

Others shared similar concerns online.

‘This is exactly why the 25th Amendment exists,’ wrote Rep. William Timmons (R-S.C.) on X. ‘But even Democrats know the only thing worse than a Biden presidency is a Kamala Harris presidency.’

‘The only thing keeping them from invoking the 25th amendment is Kamala Harris,’ wrote former Republican governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker on X.

As the campaign draws closer, Biden and his team have made more public endeavors to signal his support for his vice president despite keeping his distance in the first three years of his presidency.

‘Let me just say we are really fortunate to have a real leader, a true friend, and a historic Vice President, Kamala Harris,’ Biden said Tuesday at a Reception in Recognition of Black History Month.

‘I not only asked her to join me; I love her,’ he continued with a chuckle while squeezing her hand. ‘It’s a good relationship.’

In the past, Biden’s team has quietly expressed reservations about Harris, but know they cannot replace her on the ticket without angering a significant part of his base.

Thursday morning, Biden’s social media team extended a rare post on X warmly praising Harris and added, ‘We couldn’t do this without you, Kamala.’

Harris’ approval ratings continue to slide as an NBC poll conducted in January revealed that 53% of voters view her negatively. Only 28 percent of voters view her positively.

Journalist Victoria Brownworth tried to reassure American voters on X, urging them to embrace Harris.

‘The answer to every ‘Biden’s old!’ statement should be ‘Yes, but Kamala Harris is not.’ People forget that every presidency is a team effort. Yes, the POTUS makes the final decisions, but the Constitution provided a VP and Cabinet because the job is too big for one person,’ she wrote on X.

‘Congrats to Kamala Harris, or I should say Madame President,’ wrote Dave Rubin of the Rubin Report on X.

Conservative figures expressed their alarm, as videos of Biden’s disastrous press conference spread across social media platforms.

‘America’s greatest nightmare: Kamala Harris will become President!’ wrote Fox News contributor Leo Terrell.

Others joked that Harris was secretly sabotaging Biden.

‘Sources tell me Kamala Harris has a huge smile on her face,’ wrote former White House press secretary for former President Donald Trump Sean Spicer on X.

‘Kamala Harris in the conservatory with the wrench,’ wrote Daily Wire host Ben Shapiro on X.

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy reasserted that Biden would not be the Democratic nominee by the presidential election in November.

‘I said it last year & I’ll say it again: Biden won’t be the Democratic nominee. Now it’s just starting to get more obvious,’ he wrote on X.
