Now, based on the details shared by the company, we already know that the Kushaq will come with a host to smart and premium features like the Skoda Connect connected, a 10-inch touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, dual-tone cabin, and more. However, most of these premium features will be limited to the top-spec style variants, whereas the volume churner will be the Ambition trim which we expect will be slightly more modest in terms of features. However, Skoda expects the Ambition variant of the SUV to be one of the most sought-after variants, and that’s because, it will be feature-packed, and value for money. So, we expect the prices to start at around ₹ 9 lakh and go all the way to ₹ 15 lakh for the top-spec variant.
In terms of engine options, the Kushaq will two turbocharged petrol motors on offer – a 1.0-litre TSI, and a larger 1.5-litre TSI engine. The 1.0-litre units, borrowed from the Rapid sedan, makes 113 bhp and 175 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre engine offers 148 bhp on offer and 250 Nm of torque. Both get a 6-speed manual gearbox, whereas the automatic options include a 6-speed torque converter and a 7-speed DSG unit, respectively.
