In terms of specifications, iPad Mini may come with a 9-inch display and it will have a 120 Hz display which will also be a part of the iPhone 13 series and foldable iPhone. There are very few chances of the iPad mini getting a mini-LED screen as it will be a smaller and inexpensive Apple tablet.
The new iPad Pro models are expected to have a similar design to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models released last year, but will have better processors that are “on par” with the company’s critically acclaimed M1 chip.
Apple is reported to be introducing several updates to its iPad line this year, including a mini-LED display on the iPad Pro, a new iPad Mini with a larger display (iPad Mini Pro), and more. Now, a report in Bloomberg has hinted that the Cupertino-based giant could be launching new iPads as soon as in April. This comes after reports of an Apple event being held on March 23 surfaced earlier this month.
The new iPad Pro models are expected to have a similar design to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models released last year, but will have better processors that are “on par” with the company’s critically acclaimed M1 silicon chip, the Bloomberg report said. According to the publication, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro could come with a mini-LED display, which should offer a higher contrast ratio and be less susceptible to burn-in than OLED displays. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that the first Apple product to come with a mini-LED display will be the iPad Pro 12.9-inch variant.
In a rather surprising development, the Bloomberg report also said that Apple may go back to a Thunderbolt port on the iPad Pro, which would be able to transfer data faster than a USB type-C port.
Apart from the iPad Pro, there are reports about a larger iPad Mini that may come with a larger screen that the 7.9-inch one on the iPad Mini. Apple had last refreshed the iPad Mini in 2019.
Apple launches a new iPad model every year. This year, the Cupertino-based giant is reported to be bringing an iPad Mini Pro. The report claiming the existence of an iPad Mini Pro suggests that the company may launch the iPad model in the second half of 2021. Separately, a new Apple Pencil live image has been leaked, hinting at detachable nibs and a glossy finish. Apple is also rumoured to hold its Spring 2021 event sometime this month, where the company may launch the new iPad models, new AirPods, and a new Apple TV device.
The new iPad Mini Pro report comes from South Korean blog Naver. The report from Naver says that the iPad Mini Pro model has reached is “design P2” development stage, which comes after R&D and planning stages. The iPad model could soon move the the P3 development stage, according to the report in Naver. The report also says that the iPad Mini Pro may be unveiled in the second half of 2021. So, if Apple does hold an event this month, it won’t launch the rumoured iPad Mini Pro device. The iPad Mini Pro is reported to feature an 8.7-inch display and its width is said to be more than that of the iPad Mini (2019). The report also says that the iPad Mini’s vertical width may be reduced.
This is in line with a previous prediction from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who had previously reported of a new iPad Mini model coming in 2021, sized between 8.5-inches and 9-inches of display. While both reports offering differing information on a new iPad Mini model, it is best to take the information with a pinch of salt.
Apple’s Spring 2021 event may see the company announce the new iPad Pro models for 2021. Alongside the new iPad Pro models, he Cupertino-based giant may also launch a new Apple Pencil. An image of a new Apple Pencil has been leaked by a tipster who goes by the name Mr White on Twitter. The image shows the new Apple Pencil with a glossy finish and a detachable nib.
As per the tipster LeaksApplePro, AirTags are the small tracking tiles with Bluetooth that can be used to find lost items, and with the help of these, iPhone users will be able to track down the device if it gets misplaced.
