How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life? Your plans for the future? Your emotional and physical health status? Your wallet? Between December 2020 and January 2021, the Stanford Center on Longevity conducted the Sightlines 2021 Survey, which collected data from a national sample in the US to understand whether, and to what extent, people’s financial security, social engagement, and healthy living behaviors have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. With over 80 questions, the survey covers a wide range of topics that span from income, debt, work, insurance coverages and retirement planning, to dating, marriage, family, diet, exercise and more. In this presentation, Dr. Jialu Liu Streeter, a research scholar at Stanford University, will highlight some of the key findings that she and her colleagues have uncovered from the survey.
